These are the rules for using Trucka. We kept the legal padding out so you can actually read them. Using the site or booking a job means you agree to what's here.

1. What Trucka is

Trucka is a marketplace. We connect people who need something hauled with independent local drivers who own pickups, cargo vans, and box trucks. Drivers are independent operators, not Trucka employees. We vet them, dispatch them, and handle the money, but they run their own trucks.

2. Booking and pricing

You tell us what needs moved, and you see the price before you book. That number is an estimate until you confirm it, and it becomes your firm price before a driver is dispatched. No hourly meter, no surge, no fees bolted on at the end. If the price doesn't work, say no and you owe nothing.

Prices assume you described the job accurately. If a "couch" turns out to be a couch, a piano, and a garage, the driver can decline or we'll re-quote before continuing.

3. Cancellations

Cancel any time before you accept a price and you owe nothing. Cancel after accepting but before a driver heads out, and you still owe nothing. If a driver is already on the way, we may charge part of the price to cover their time. We'll tell you before that ever applies.

4. What we're not

  • Not a mover of record. We're not a licensed moving company and don't provide packing, hoisting, or full-service relocation. For a large household move with those needs, hire a mover.
  • Not a storage provider. Drivers take your stuff from point A to point B. They don't hold it overnight.
  • Not a freight carrier. Local hauls only. No interstate freight, no hazardous materials, nothing illegal or dangerous to move.

5. Driver terms

Drivers apply, pass vetting (license, insurance, background check, truck photo review), and then choose their own jobs. Drivers see the payout for each job before accepting it. The division between driver pay and the platform fee is set per job and may change as the service evolves. Drivers are independent contractors: they pick their hours, their jobs, and their market, and they're responsible for their own taxes, vehicles, and insurance.

6. Liability

In plain words: we stand behind the matching, dispatch, and vetting we do, and drivers carry insurance we verify. If something gets damaged on a job, tell your issue from your trip screen right away and we'll work it out with you and the driver. Beyond that, our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid for the job in question. We're not liable for indirect losses, like a missed workday or a canceled event.

7. Disputes

Contact us first. Emailhelp@trucka.io or reply to your dispatch text, and a person will dig in. Almost everything gets solved this way. If we truly can't sort it out, either side can pursue the matter in small claims court where you live.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [State], without regard to conflict of law rules.

9. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we update this page and the date at the top. Keep using Trucka after a change and the new terms apply. If a change matters, we'll say so plainly, not bury it.
